How we calculate Ireland eligibility

Our Ireland calculator follows official rules:

   1. Check 1-year continuous residence

   Last 12 months: max 6 weeks (42 days) total absence.

   2. Calculate reckonable residence

   Days in Ireland in last 8 years (excluding student visa per the Act).

   3. Compare with 5-year requirement

   Need at least 5 years (1,825 days) of reckonable residence.

   4. Apply verdict

   Green if both met. Amber if close. Red if either fails.
